One is fun!

What a beautiful Thankgiving weekend we are having!  We are so very lucky!  I can’t remember the last time we had such nice weather so late in the month!

This blog post is a full circle for me.  You see, this little girl is my very first newborn that I photographed!  I seriously can’t believe how time has flown by.  We had an amazing cake smash!  It’s so much fun to watch as they taste cake for the very first time and to figure out what to do!  What a little cutie she is!  I just loved those happy feet and pointer finger!  Isabella is turning into such a beautiful little girl!  She reminds me of her older sister.  I look forward to capturing Isabella throughout her childhood!

Tutu was made by me.  This outfit is available for sale $45.00

Sweet Smiling Baby Love | Baby Photographer | Ingersoll Ontario

Ahhh to catch up on some much needed blogging!  I’m almost there!  As my followers can see I just revamped my entire blog and made it much cleaner and easier to use.  I also updated my images!  If I have shot you before than you could be up there in my slideshow?!  How cool is that?!  I think it’s pretty sweet!

This session was back at the beginning of summer in June?  I wish mother nature would bring back summer just for a little longer.  I’m not ready to let go of the nice hot weather just yet….but regardless of what we want, the next season is upon us.   In fact we have turned on our furnace…yes I just said that dreaded word.  I wish it wasn’t true….and along with the furnace comes the other dreaded word of socks…yes I have been wearing them.  Have you given in like I have?  As much as I would love not to I have to admit it!

Any who, back to the sweet smiling baby!  I love me some baby love but then again who doesn’t *sigh* that sweet baby’s breath, the scent of their soft skin, the way their hair feels, the sweet little snuggles….oh how you forget yes us Momma’s got to get our baby fix some how!  I enjoyed every moment!

Little Mr K came in my studio at 6 weeks new!  He was such a sweet smiling baby boy!  I loved my time with him and his sweet
Momma!  We were lucky enough that the weather was starting to get warm out so we took him outside for some of our time together.  He did such a wonderful job…although he didn’t do much sleeping but you really can’t expect that at his age….but I was lucky enough to get some of those images for his momma.

Trash the Dress | Ingersoll Ontario | Wedding Photographer

Over this past year I have been very fortunate to have gotten to know Amanda from Amanda Kopcic Photography.  We decided to get together to do a fun shoot.  It went from shooting one another to a shoot for a trash the dress.  We found a model named Stacey who had been thinking of having a trash the dress shoot!  Stacey did a fantastic job and she is so beautiful!  It was perfect, Stacey and her husband just celebrated their 6th anniversary!  They have two beautiful children.  Congrats to you both!

I must admit on the day of the shoot I was a little worried that it was going to be cool but it ended up being the perfect temperature.  We had Stacey jumping and swimming.  We used my husband’s Aunt and Uncle’s place as our location….it truly is a beautiful spot!  When I described the location to Amanda she laughed and said ‘do they live on a resort!!!!’…well not quite…it really is a nice place and we were very lucky that they allowed us to have used their pool!  So a very special thank you goes out to them for allowing us to use it!

Stacey had wanted to get her makeup done professionally so Amanda and I talked to a friend of ours Maggie Machado who has her own business, you may have heard of her, she owns Creative Baby Bumps in London Ontario.  She did a fantastic job!  After she was done doing her make up she hung around and became what we called ‘Stacey’s Maid of Honour’!!!  Maggie was a big help!  I must say it’s not easy to move in a soaking wet wedding gown!!!!

As always Amanda it was a pleasure to work with you again, we always have fun doing what we both love to do….capturing people’s true essence on film!  Until next time….as we both know there will be!

Stacey’s gown is from Garber’s Bridal in London.

Sweet Angel | Make A Wish Southwestern Ontario | Ingersoll Ontario | Family & Children Photographer

I have been in the works with Make a Wish Foundation in London Ontario, Canada for almost a year, as we have been working on a very special project that has just been launched.  Like so many of us we want to be able to give back to the community.  Sometimes we just don’t know how or we just don’t have that extra bit to give.  I have found since I lost my Father at a young age I have always wanted to give back to my community and was never able to, this is my way of giving back.  It not only warms my heart, it brings tears to my eyes!  It is so joyous to think of how happy I can make each and every one of these ‘Make a Wish’ families!  So I thank you for giving me that extra warmth!

This is my very first family!  They have been on such a journey!  Thankfully their sweet angel has recovered and is doing well….their youngest daughter got sick and was diagnosed at 7 months with leukemia and was on treatment for a lengthy time. Thankfully she doesn’t remember any of it.  Someone was watching from above!  I was intrigued by this sweet girl and how special she is!  I thank you for allowing me into your lives to capture your true essence! I look forward to having more of these very special shoots in the future!

This session was taken on the hottest day in the middle of july.  It was a hot one so far to date I tell you!  I believe it came in at around 50 degree’s..it really was HOT HOT HOT!!!  But it was so much fun to do.  This session was taken place on our farm in our wheat field.  We were worried all week that it was going to be taken off!  We got really lucky.

Being a photographer I find I am so very blessed to work with so many amazing families!  Each one is unique but yet the same.  Does that make sense?  I love working with each and every one of you to create memories that will last a lifetime from generation
to generation!
