Sweet Angel | Make A Wish Southwestern Ontario | Ingersoll Ontario | Family & Children Photographer

I have been in the works with Make a Wish Foundation in London Ontario, Canada for almost a year, as we have been working on a very special project that has just been launched.  Like so many of us we want to be able to give back to the community.  Sometimes we just don’t know how or we just don’t have that extra bit to give.  I have found since I lost my Father at a young age I have always wanted to give back to my community and was never able to, this is my way of giving back.  It not only warms my heart, it brings tears to my eyes!  It is so joyous to think of how happy I can make each and every one of these ‘Make a Wish’ families!  So I thank you for giving me that extra warmth!

This is my very first family!  They have been on such a journey!  Thankfully their sweet angel has recovered and is doing well….their youngest daughter got sick and was diagnosed at 7 months with leukemia and was on treatment for a lengthy time. Thankfully she doesn’t remember any of it.  Someone was watching from above!  I was intrigued by this sweet girl and how special she is!  I thank you for allowing me into your lives to capture your true essence! I look forward to having more of these very special shoots in the future!

This session was taken on the hottest day in the middle of july.  It was a hot one so far to date I tell you!  I believe it came in at around 50 degree’s..it really was HOT HOT HOT!!!  But it was so much fun to do.  This session was taken place on our farm in our wheat field.  We were worried all week that it was going to be taken off!  We got really lucky.

Being a photographer I find I am so very blessed to work with so many amazing families!  Each one is unique but yet the same.  Does that make sense?  I love working with each and every one of you to create memories that will last a lifetime from generation
to generation!

Ingersoll Ontario | Child & Family Photographer

Oh blogging how I have missed you! *sigh* I love to blog but there just never seems to be enough time in the day to keep up! I’m sure I’m not the only one to feel this way! Tonight I have found the time as my husband is out working in the fields…he is a farmer. And most of the crops this year are just late. Anyways you don’t want to hear about that…..so, summer is here and it’s time to get back at photographing my favourite things!!! People! Seriously I so very lucky to have met the people I have in this wonderful journey that I’m on and have learned so much from….you know who you are….I’m forever greatful….and I truly love what I do and I’m happy to be back at it after taking some time off from having my sweet baby girl!l
This session was taken at a beautiful spot in Ingersoll Ontario where I had the wonderful opportunity to capture the Costa family. This session was a gift from her best friend Carrie! I have known Carrie and her husband for years and years. It was so nice to reconnect with the two of them! She purchased this session from an auction that I was in as a thank you gift for all that she has done! What else is a best friend for!
We had so much fun! This Saturday was late May and of course being in South Western Ontario our weather is so unpredictable so I had my fingers crossed that it would be a nice day and I was not disappointed!
What little sweet darlings their children were! Deborah and Julianna’s relationship reminded me of my two daughters’ relationship. You can just see the joy in both of their eyes. And Brandon what can I say he captured my heart! He is just pure sweetness! He loved the camera!

Woodstock Ontario {family photographer} Birtch Farms | Brotherly love

This here is someone that I or maybe I should say my son refer’s to as ‘hawkeye’.  Some of you may even know what I mean….before a few weeks ago I would not have know either.  Or at least remember that from when my brother was a Scout.  My son this year joined Beavers.  He is just loving it.  It was a real joy to have caught your boys on camera.  It was a lot of fun!  Here are some of my favorite pictures from our time.

Stunning sun peeking through the trees *sigh*

Toronto Ontario {newborn photographer} Perfection!

It has been a little while since I last blogged and if you have been following on Facebook you will have seen that I have had a few sessions since.  So, I’m sorry for all of my blog stockers that I have not posted in a while.  It has been a trying time in my life as of late.  My hold up is the simple fact that I’m expecting.  I’m now over that wonderful first 3 months of morning sickness.  Such an exciting time!  We can’t wait!

Some of us bloggers are the same way and I am no different.  My next blog post is not in order….and it makes me feel a little lost…so to speak.  So below is my little nephew, Mr D.  These pictures where taken last week and he was 7 weeks.  He is such a big boy!  When he was born he was 9, 10 oz what a big boy he was!  And I can’t forget to mention that he was almost 2 weeks overdue!  I hated being overdue with both of my kids….that feeling urg!  Okay so lets not go there!  Mr. D is so cute and of course I’m just slightly prejudiced!!!!  We didn’t get a chance to visit too long….and being that the whole family went to meet Mr D, the shoot ended up just being a little mini shoot.  Just as well I got some great shots!  I can’t wait to watch you grow up! *sigh* that just makes me think of my own children who are 8 and 6.  My little man starts grade 1 thins year *tear* ok ok *TEARS*.  Are they ever growing up before my eyes!  And soon we bring a new bundle of joy into our lives!  Can’t we just hold on a little longer to our babies.  We all know the answer to that as much as we don’t want to thing about it.  Time passes way too quickly and we can’t slow down that clock and we want to treasure every memory that comes our way.  This is where I come in…..capturing those precious moments.

Stratford Ontario {family & Child photographer} Rainy spring day

This shoot is located in Stratford, one of my ULTIMATE favorite places to go.  I <3 it here, it is just so quaint!   And if you go it is sooo hard to not go to Rheo Thompson’s chocolate store!  In my opinion it is the best chocolate store around!  If you do go you must try the mint smoothie’s, they really are delish!  Yes, this is my weakness.  Can you not tell?  This is a workshop that I did with an amazing photographer Erin Samuell from A Simple Photograph.  And these are one of her favorite clients.  This here is Dana, Jeff and little Hunter who is one and a half.  Having older children you soon forget that you were constantly running after them and making sure they are safe and little Hunter was no different! …sigh!  Those were the days!  Their images turned out so well!

On the day of this shoot it was a cold and rainy day in early March.  Luckily it was only a drizzle, but just enough to get wet.  I LOVE doing shoots in the rain!  They really are fun to do.  And this is coming from someone who hates the rain…so go figure!!!  I have a new found love for the rain!  But as a photographer it really is the perfect weather for a shoot!  But the thing is you have to find the right kind of client who enjoys being in the rain as much as you do.  This family was such good sports, they were rolling around and playing and giggling with one another.  Just enjoying the Sunday afternoon regardless of the weather.  I would love to come back soon and do another shoot as it is such an amazing place to shoot at as well to visit.
